Bayside Resort offers a unique experience beyond a peaceful, exotic, simple, and comfortable stay in the yasawas. The resort only has 2 traditional thatch bures built in the style of a Fijian house. Both bures are a few steps from the beach and shielded by coconut palms to give them protection from the afternoon sun. A beachside hammock is provided for each bure. The two bures are built on individual rock foundations raised slightly from the ground. Walls are of thatch reeds bound together and lashed on to a bamboo frame using coconut string. Natural spring water offers a constant supply of fresh drinkable water. There is no shop on the island and supplies are limited so bring nibbles and loads of sunscreen and medical supplies. |
